Question 1

How do I get started with imanii?

Accepted Answer

Create your account and complete onboarding to set up your church. You do not need to move everything at once. Begin with one ministry need, such as your member list or Sunday check-in, and add more as your team becomes ready.

Question 2

Is imanii only for large churches?

Accepted Answer

No. Your church can begin with one ministry need and expand gradually as your team becomes ready.

Question 3

Can we bring our existing spreadsheet?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can bring member records from CSV files and Excel exports instead of starting again. Use the Import tab in Members to upload your file.

Question 4

How do I organise people into families and groups?

Accepted Answer

Open Members and use the Families and Groups tabs. Families connect the people who live together, and groups let you gather people around a ministry, class, or team.

Question 5

How do I find and merge duplicate records?

Accepted Answer

The Duplicates tab in Members lists records that look like the same person, so you can review them and keep one clean record.

Question 6

Can I add my own fields to a member profile?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Use Profile fields in Members to add the information your church cares about, so it lives on each person's profile.

Question 7

How do I follow up with first-time visitors?

Accepted Answer

Visitors move through a pipeline so your team can see who has been contacted and who is still waiting. Open Visitors to see the overview and pipeline.

Question 8

What is a connection card?

Accepted Answer

A connection card is a shareable form guests can fill in from their phone. Submissions arrive in Visitors so nobody has to type up paper cards.

Question 9

How do I create and share an event?

Accepted Answer

Open Events and add a new event. Each event gets a public page you can share so people can find it and respond.

Question 10

How does check-in work?

Accepted Answer

Attendance includes check-in, QR check-in, and family check-in. Your team chooses the method that fits the gathering, and history and analytics build up from there.

Question 11

How do I set up giving?

Accepted Answer

Open Giving and follow the setup steps. Once it is ready you can record tithes, offerings, and donations, organise them into funds and campaigns, and share giving forms or payment links.

Question 12

Who can see giving records?

Accepted Answer

Giving records are sensitive, so access follows roles. Only the people you give permission to can view giving, and everyone else never sees it.

Question 13

How do I message members?

Accepted Answer

Use Communication to write and send messages to the people or groups you choose, so the right people hear from you at the right time.

Question 14

How do I collect information with a form?

Accepted Answer

Use Forms to build a form and share its link. Responses come back into imanii instead of onto paper.

Question 15

Will imanii replace personal ministry?

Accepted Answer

No. imanii organises information and responsibilities. Your pastors and leaders still provide the care.

Question 16

Can we keep pastoral notes private?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Role-based permissions help protect pastoral notes and other confidential information, so only the leaders you choose can see them.

Question 17

Will our volunteers need formal training?

Accepted Answer

No. Each person gets a focused experience based on their role and responsibilities, so they only see what they need.

Question 18

Can we control who sees sensitive information?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Role-based permissions control who can see pastoral notes, giving records, and other confidential information.

Question 19

How do I contact the support team?

Accepted Answer

Email support@imanii.com and tell us what you were trying to do and what happened. Include your church name and, if you can, a screenshot, and we will get back to you.
